 Abby's Story

Abby Waite

Five years ago, I realized I needed a change. I was stuck working in a career that had run its course and was causing me a great deal of stress and very little joy. This was also running over into my personal life and greatly impacting my health. I realized it was time for a change! Not only was I not living my life’s purpose, I did not even know what my life’s purpose was. So I hired a coach and began the process of self-discovery. As a result, I became open to exploring new career opportunities and ideas I had never considered in the past. I began teaching part-time at the college level, and I realized it gave me a great deal of satisfaction to teach and mentor others, an area that I had always been told I was good at but never seriously considered as a profession. I then took it a step further and decided to enroll in a professional coaching program. As soon as I began this phase of furthering my education and personal growth, I was hooked. I also switched my career path and became a learning and development professional in the biotechnology sector. I decided that teaching and coaching was what I wanted to do in the next phase of my life, and I was determined to be successful.

I find it extremely rewarding to impact people’s lives and witness their transformation. It takes great courage and confidence to find out what you are passionate about and take charge of your life. At Your True North Coaching, that is what we discover together.
